Download Pillion
Android is ready now — grab the APK below. iPhone support has landed too, with a sideloadable build coming in the next release. Pillion is in alpha: it works but is rough, and the protocol and UI may still change. Expect bugs, and please report them.
What you need
- An Android phone (iPhone support landing soon).
- A Yamaha with a Garmin CCU dash (works with Garmin StreetCross).
- Your phone already bonded to the bike over Bluetooth.
- 'Install unknown apps' enabled for your browser or file manager.
Install & run
- 1
Download the APK
Grab the latest Pillion.apk from GitHub Releases.
- 2
Sideload it
Open the APK and allow installation from your browser or file manager.
- 3
Prepare the bike
Pair your phone to the bike's Bluetooth and select the navigation screen on the TFT.
- 4
Start casting
Open Pillion, grant the screen-capture prompt, tap Start, then open Waze or Maps in landscape.
Run only one projection app at a time — close Garmin StreetCross or Yamaha MyRide first, or they'll fight Pillion for the connection.
Staying up to date
Pillion checks GitHub Releases on launch and shows an in-app banner when a newer build is available, with the changelog. Tap Get to download it.

Coming next releaseiOS support has landed — the same app, built from one shared codebase. There's no App Store build; you'll sideload it with a free Apple ID (AltStore or SideStore auto-refresh it). A downloadable IPA ships in the next release.
